this is what professionals say about the job:

Investigate the growth, structure, development, and other characteristics of microscopic organisms, such as bacteria, algae, or fungi. Includes medical microbiologists who study the relationship between organisms and disease or the effects of antibiotics on microorganisms.

how to make a limerick

you make a poem with a beat, and some lines have to ryme.

The poem doesn’t have to make sense, just ryme and hopefully a meaning or humor.

The form is a 5-line poem in AABBA structure. This means the first two lines rhyme with the fifth line. The third and fourth lines rhyme with each other.

The poem has an anapestic beat:A is (da da DUM da da DUM da da DUMA is (da da DUM da da DUM da da DUM)B is (da da DUM da da DUM)B is (da da DUM da da DUM)A ends the poem (da da DUM da da DUM da da DUM)

this is my teatchers way, so I cant take credit. I can say that it helps.

make one and put it in the comments or a link in the comments!

yesterday we had made some limericks; they where pretty much all funny and good nurtured. some of us made fun of others, and here is a example of one of mine:

response to qoute!

“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” – e.e. cummings

I agree with this quote, it’s hard to just grow up, so you need the courage to push ahead, and do it. If everyone tried, the world would he a lot better of a place. Of course, sometimes its better to be young (if you still are) and have a little immature fun. And sometimes is better to be serious. I agree, and I like the way this aouther thinks

pleas write a response, and leave a link to your blog in the comments!

March choice board

My favorite quote would be “Grapple to the end with thee.”

This is from the book ‘Zero Hour, Department 19’ by Will Hill. I chose this quote because Dracula said it before Valentin was suppose to kill him. He meant it as in he would not give up and die, just like department 19 did when Dracula rose in the first place. Both Dracula and Department 19 got up and fought, all or nothing. This linked them in a special way, so I chose this quote.

my reading response choice board

I am suppose to write my in opinion who the most interesting character is and provide 3 supporting details.

The book is called firebug.

I chose Ava as my most interesting character because of her ability to start fires with her mind and because of her lifelong enemy, Venus. She has a interesting and witty personality.

Venus had Ava’s mom killed then made Ava part of her “Coterie, a magical mafia.” Ava kills the targets near her with her fire power. When Venus tells her to kill a friend, Ava says no and rebels against Venus.

My support text:

  1. “I could set fire to the bench we were sitting on” narrated Ava.
  2. “I was chattled to Venus, queen of the manor and head of coterie”
  3. “He grinned and swiped my pickle without asking. If he were anyone else I would have stabbed his hand with a fork–I like pickles. And manners.
